    This Friday, 4/3, we want to hold four Zoom meetings to check in with everyone! If your time does not work for your schedule, please jump in on another time!!     ELA (Grossman / Smythe): A new ELA assignment has been posted in Teams. There is a form attached to the assignment for you to complete when you have finished.

    SS (Grossman): Please complete the Greece, section 2 notes assignment that is due today. The assignment directions are posted in Teams.

    Math: (Loeb/Smythe)- there will be a quiz on Friday on this week's work, so make sure you ask questions in Math chat this morning if you need some review!

    1. Log in to pearsonrealize.com & watch Virtual Nerd: How do you use a proportion to find what percent a part is of a whole?

    2. On pearson, complete 6-5 Math XL for school Practice and Problem solving- click on Question help in the upper right corner of the screen if you'd like to see an example or watch a video tutorial. Do you work for each of the questions on paper to submit in Team assignments

    3. Review any missed problems

    Science- Continue working on Building Pangaea- remember to screenshot each map and save them into a document in the assignment tab as you go- these maps will be important for your CER on Friday

    ELA (Grossman / Smythe): Finish completing the Sudan/South Sudan note sheet assignment that was posted in Teams yesterday. I have provided several links with this assignment to help you get started if you have not started yet. I am available on Teams from 9-10:30 AM this morning if you have questions or need help. 

    SS (Grossman): I have posted a new assignment in Teams called NEW SS Assignment GREECE Section 2 Notes. Please read the directions and review the scoring rubric before beginning. I have included a note sheet you may use, but I encourage you to experiment with taking notes in your own way! I am available on Teams from 9-10:30 AM this morning if you have questions or need help. 

    ELA (Rekow)- Your assignments are in your One Note Notebook.  Log in to get the link for our Zoom meeting! 

    Math: (Loeb/Smythe)-

    1.Complete/ refine work based on feedback on Lesson 6-5 if necessary

    2. Complete IXL Skill S.6  - show work on paper & submit in Teams assignments : be sure to use the process demonstrated in Lesson 6-5- work for 20-30 minutes on this, remember quality over quantity with this skill!

    Math: (Rekow)- Your assignments are in your One Note Notebook.  Log in to get the link for our Zoom meeting! 

    Science: You should be well underway with your Building Pangaea Gizmo as you should begin work on your Claim by Thursday to be able to refine and hand in on Friday- See Teams Assignments and make sure you ask questions during Team confering hours of 9-10:30 AM if necessary.

    Math (Loeb/ Smythe)- Lesson 6.5- Find the Percent of a Number

    1. Go to the Loeb- Smythe Math Channel in Teams, go to Files and select the 6-5 Whiteboard lesson 

    2. After watching the model problem, complete problems # 4, 6, 8 and 11 on p.364 and #'s 15 -16 on p. 365 in your Envisions book using the modeled process. If you forgot to take your Envisions book home, you can access the lesson pages on pearsonrealize.com and just recopy the problems from the online version into your notebook or solve on a piece of looseleaf to submit in Teams.

    3. Take a picture of your work and submit it in the Math Lesson 6.5 assignment in Teams

    Science Assignments for the Week of 3/23-3/27

    This week we will continue learning about Slow Changes to Earth's surface as we take a virtual “look” way back in time.  Work at your own pace through the activities- the work is due by Friday, 3/27 at 3:00 PM, but you are welcome to submit work to me ahead of that so that I can give you feedback. 

    1. Sign into Teams using your Microsoft outlook account & go to Team Perspective Assignments in the General Channel

         Read and preview the Building Pangaea vocabulary document attached in the assignment in Teams

     2. Login to your explorelearning.com account to access the Gizmo that I have added to your classes, called “Building  Pangea”. https://www.explorelearning.com/index.cfm?method=cResource.dspView&ResourceID=633

    reminder: we did two explore activities already in school- you login with your normal school credentials hat you use for everything.

     3. Remember to stop and take screenshots & label your work as you are guided when you build Pangaea in the Gizmo- upload them to  assignments. Directions have been added to the distance learning information block below for you to upload work into Teams for those of you who are still having trouble.  

     4. Complete the Student Exploration sheet by editing your copy using the attachment Building Pangaea SE document in Teams or your can print it and take a picture to upload into assignments if you prefer to handwrite your responses.

     5. . Make a claim about how the fossil evidence supports the existence of Pangaea using the document linked in Teams: ExploreLearning_LM- see the CER rubric for grading to remind yourself of the  criteria for a CER

    Hi guys!  We are so impressed by the work we have seen from so many of you already!  We hope you are all adjusting to the new norm for learning.  Reminder- we are hoping many of you will join us for a Team Perspective video chat this morning between 10 and 10:30!  Go to Teams and you should be able to just click on your icon in the chat to join.  Mr. Grossman, Mrs. Loeb, Ms Smythe and Mrs. Rekow will all be there and we're looking forward to seeing all of your smiles and hearing how you're doing! 

    Math (Loeb/Smythe)- Go to the Teams link for math under resources or go right to Teams through your email and select the Math channel on the left side bar.  Watch the two whiteboard review lessons for Lesson 6-3, then go to pearsonrealize.com and complete Lesson 6-3 Math XL for School- additional practice assignment- note on the upper right corner of the screen there is a button for Question Help, which has options for support if you need it- you can watch a "Virtual Nerd" video or watch them do an example problem if you get stuck.  email Mrs. Loeb or Ms Smythe if you have any questions about any of the review material completed this week so we can follow up with you before we move onto new material!

    ELA (Rekow) - #1) complete the 4th page in the multi-meaning words packet.  Email Mrs. Rekow a picture.  If you did not email the 3rd page yesterday, email that also!!

    #2) Spend 20 minutes on Read 180/System 44

    #3) Answer the question in the One Note Notebook March Classwork Folder for March19th 

    Math (Rekow) - #1) Spend 20-30 minutes on the iReady Math diagnostic that you started last week.  Work independently.

                                     #2) Complete 10 more one-step equations.  

                                    Email Mrs. Rekow a picture.  If you did not email a picture of yesterday’s 10 equations, email it today!!  

    Science- I have assigned you your next Scavenger hunt- looking for slow changes to Earth's surface today- in Teams and have attached a video link and vocabulary preview- you can upload your pics onto the powerpoint link I attached in Teams this time!  It was so awesome seeing all of your wonderful observations of Earth's systems on Wednesday!! :)

    Hi Team Perspective!  We hope you are all doing well!  We will post your assignments here every day. 

    For each subject we will give you directions and links to access your materials. 

    We are going to be available for you for Team chat time between the hours of 9-11 AM every day.  To access this sign into your Outlook account and select the Teams icon from the waffle.  Go to our Team perspective page and click chat on the left sidebar.  Click the JOIN button on the upper right side of the screen. Feel free to check in, and ask any questions you have about your assignments. 

    On another note- see Mr. Swiatowicz's email regarding gathering materials from school- if you were out on Thursday when we brought our math books home it may be helpful to check that schedule for getting materials from school so you can go in to pick it up. Since we will be out for the next week at least, we plan to move forward with our Math lessons.  It would be beneficial to have your Envisions books at home. 

    Math (Loeb/Smythe)- Click on the first link under Math resources  which will take you to the Math channel on Teams.  Select the video link for 6.2 Decimals/Fractions/Percents.  Select the video then do the pearsonrealize.com assignment Lesson 6.2 Math XL Additional practice- feel free to refer back to the video 

    ELA (Grossman/Smythe)-  Read for a half hour in your IR book every day- if you're reading a fiction book see link for Responding to your IRB under ELA resources and complete 2 different thorough responses using the link to the ELA channel in Teams found under ELA resources- don't forget to save it using your name/response # 1 or #2. If you're reading a non-fiction book, take notes in your sketch pad as you are reaeding and submit that as your response using directions above- due Monday

    ELA (Rekow) - Complete the third page of the Multi-meaning words packet.  Email Mrs. Rekow a picture.

    SS- Due by Monday: Read Greece section 1 and complete notes on all of section 1 using Mr. Grossman's notesheet found under SS resources or create your own- take a picture of your work and upload it to the SS channel on our Teams page- linked under SS Resources.     Science- Click on the link for Science Team page under Science Resources and under Files open the folder for Earth's Spheres.  Review the powerpoint on Earth's spheres, then go outside  for an Earth's spheres scavenger hunt using the attached list. Use your phone or device to take pictures of your findings - you can either download your pictures into your science notebook in Teams or  feel free to email your pics!  If you can't take pictures write me a description of the items.  Have fun & enjoy the beautiful weather while we have it!!

Directions for uploading work into Teams: 

To submit an assignment from a Microsoft surface or desktop:

1. Take a photo of your work with a phone or Ipad

2. Go Team Perspective Microsoft Teams page and open the Assignments tab.

3. Select the assignment

4. Press add work.

5. Select upload from this device.

6. Select the photos you want to submit.

7. Press Turn In.

To submit an assignment from a PC or a phone:

1. Take a photo of your work with a phone or Ipad

2. Send it to your school email in Outlook.

3. Sign into your school email and click on the photo and save it in One Drive or on your PC

4. Go to Team Perspective Microsoft Teams page and open the Assignments tab.

5. Select the assignment

6. Press add work.

7. Select upload from this device.

8. Select the photos you want to submit.

9. Press Turn In.
