Response To Intervention (RTI)

Response to Intervention (RTI) is the practice of providing high-quality instruction/intervention matched to student needs and using learning rate over time and level of performance to make important educational decisions about an individual student. Our work involves:

  • Appropriate Instruction delivered to all students in the general education class by qualified personnel in reading and math; using behavioral supports and interventions, culturally responsive and linguistically appropriate instruction; and scientifically based research.

  • Screenings applied to all students in class, including parent participation.

  • Instruction matched to student need. This multi-tiered delivery model includes parent notification.
