If you have ideas about how to develop this theme with our students, please contact a building administrator. I hope you have a terrific school year.

Help Haiti Collection
The John Jay Middle School Student Council will be collecting monetary donations to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Student Council members will be visiting homebases, as well as the dining room, to collect donations from students. Teachers and parents of the John Jay Middle School community are welcome to join in our efforts to help those victims of the earthquake in Haiti. If you would like to contribute to our efforts, you may send the money via your student and include your student's name on the envelope. You may also write a check for your donation. All checks should be made payable to John Jay Middle School Student Council and in the memo note "Haiti donation." Please be sure to include your student's name on the envelope as well. It is important that you are a member of the middle school community. Thank you for your generosity and help.

Afternoon Sporting Events
Reminder to Parents: Students are not permitted to remain after school as spectators at a high school/middle school inter-scholastic practice or game unless organized as a school event. When this is the case, all students must have a note from a parent giving them permission to stay for the sporting event with explicit instructions on how the student will be getting home (late bus/pick-up). Students wait in supervised study and are picked up by the assigned chaperone. Those without a note will not be permitted to stay. PARENTS MAY NOT DROP STUDENTS OFF FOR AN AFTERNOON SPORTING EVENT.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff:

RE: Health Notice Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA)

Recently, we have had three confirmed cases of MRSA in the Katonah-Lewisboro School District. More cases may occur. We need to recognize that MRSA is present in our community, as it is in most communities.
